Description
The Allegro 9911-10 Replacement Double Bib Maintenance Free Tyvek Hood is a NIOSH-approved supplied-air respirator (SAR) hood assembly constructed from poly-coated DuPont Tyvek material.
This maintenance-free, fully disposable hood integrates the breathing tube (downtube) and suspension into a one-piece assembly, eliminating the need for decontamination of separate components after use.
This model features a double-bib design that improves protection and comfort: the inner bib tucks into protective garments to direct air downwards for a cooling effect on the body, while the outer bib secures under the arms with hook-and-loop fasteners to help keep the hood in place.
The hood’s extra-large clear panoramic viewing lens enhances visibility during work, making it well-suited for tasks such as painting, sanding, maintenance, manufacturing and pharmaceutical operations.
The hood includes a lightweight suspension with adjustable hook-and-loop head harness and foam headband for secure, comfortable wear. A multi-layer foam sound-dampening system within the downtube helps meet noise requirements inside the hood.
Being NIOSH approved when used with compatible airline systems, this hood is suitable for both low-pressure and high-pressure supplied-air respirators depending on the configuration and flow adapter used.
