Castrol Tribol GR 100-00 PD

Description

Castrol Tribol™ GR 100-00 PD (previously called Olista™ Longtime 00) is a lithium based grease containing highly refined mineral oils, enhanced with the MicroFlux Trans (MFT) additive system.
The MFT additive technology provides optimum wear protection and a very low coefficient of friction even under extremes of pressure, vibration, shock loads, at high or low speeds or varying micro-smoothing of the friction surfaces.
Under severe load, the MFT additive combination is activated, initiating an improvement of surface friction characteristics through plastic deformation. The products of the reaction become a component of the tribopolymer system. Unlike the case with conventional lubricants, the tribopolymers formed by MFT are long-chained compounds with excellent lubricity and adhesion. This means that the friction surfaces are improved rather than worn. The process of micro-smoothing reduces friction and results in an increase of the bearing surface. If the surface roughness is reduced, the specific load is distributed over a larger surface area and the actual load on the bearing is reduced.
Application
Tribol GR 100-00 PD is especially suited for long term lubrication of roller bearings in case of high and extreme pressures.
For rolling and sliding bearings, especially if exposed to high or shock loads.
Can be used as a semi-fluid grease lubricant in gears and gear motors.
Pumpable in central lubrication systems.
Temperature application range: –30 °C to +140 °C.
