Castrol Optigear Synthetic™ CT 320 is a high performance synthetic polyalphaolefin (PAO) gear oil developed to provide superior performance under extreme operating conditions. It is specifically formulated to reduce wear and micropitting in wind turbine gearboxes.
This formulation has been developed to deliver high performance in extreme conditions, where water ingress is a risk. Optigear Synthetic CT 320 is approved by numerous leading wind turbine manufacturers.

Advantages
Optigear Synthetic CT 320 is formulated with Castrol’s Microflux Trans (MFT) Plastic Deformation (PD) additive. The MFT PD additive technology provides optimum wear protection and an ultra-low coefficient of friction. Under severe load, the MFT PD additive is activated and creates a micro-smoothing effect on the surface. This unique technology provides many benefits including:
