Description
Castrol Optigear Synthetic 1710/320 is a premium semi-synthetic industrial gear oil designed for use in heavily loaded industrial gears and bearings subjected to extreme pressure, shock loads, vibrations, or low-speed conditions. It combines high-quality mineral base oils and synthetic polyalphaolefins with Castrol’s Tribol Gear Oil Additive (TGOA) Plastic Deformation (PD) technology, which helps smooth microscopic surface roughness under load, reducing friction and wear while maintaining a high load carrying capacity and helping prevent micro-pitting progression.
This 20 L canister size is ideal for gearboxes in industrial equipment such as spur, helical, bevel and planetary gears, geared couplings, and rolling/sliding bearings, supporting a wide operating temperature range (typically about −30 °C to +95 °C, depending on application). The product meets or exceeds DIN 51517 T.3 requirements and carries a CLP-HC classification under DIN 51502 for industrial gear oils.
