Description

Castrol Alpha BMB 680 is a premium industrial gear lubricant formulated for demanding enclosed gear applications where heavy loads, shock loading, and slow-speed high-torque conditions occur. It is part of the Alpha BMB CLPF range, developed with a specially selected solid lubricant (MoS₂) that remains suspended in the oil to enhance boundary lubrication and improve performance under extreme contact stresses.

This gear oil meets DIN 51517-3 requirements and qualifies as a CLPF type according to DIN 51502 standards, making it suitable for industrial gearboxes and heavy drives that need strong extreme-pressure and wear protection. The formulation also provides excellent thermal loading capacity, good ageing stability, and high corrosion resistance, while remaining neutral toward non-ferrous metals and common seal materials.
