Description
The Allegro 9871‑03C Point of Attachment Cooling System is engineered to meet NIOSH requirements (42 CFR Part 84) for point‑of‑attachment (POA) supplied‑air systems while providing cooled Grade D breathing air to two workers using airline respirators. Housed in a durable, rugged Pelican‑style carry case that can also be wall‑mounted, this unit includes two adjustable pressure regulators, two pressure gauges, and a pressure relief valve so each user’s air pressure can be set independently for differing hose lengths or respirator types.
It uses a vortex cooling element made from non‑toxic engineering plastic with an adjustable brass valve to reduce breathing‑air temperature by up to about 20 °F (11 °C) depending on inlet conditions, ambient temperature, and hose length, enhancing comfort in hot work environments. The system supports airline hoses up to 100 feet per user and operates with a maximum regulator inlet pressure of 125 psi.
