Description
The Allegro 9850 A‑4000AD Breathing Air Pump (also referred to as model A‑4000AD) is a robust, air‑driven breathing air source engineered to deliver a continuous, low‑pressure airflow for multiple supplied‑air respirator users in demanding industrial and maintenance settings such as sandblasting, cleaning, chemical handling, and confined space work. Because it’s driven by compressed air rather than electricity, this pump is especially useful where electric power is impractical or unsafe to use.
Constructed on a rigid metal base with rubber feet and galvanized steel plumbing, the unit features quick‑connect air fittings, an adjustable brass pressure relief valve, and an analog pressure gauge (0–15 psi) to manage and monitor output pressure. The oil‑less rotary vane pump uses replaceable carbon vanes, a 50 µm inlet filter, and a 0.3 µm HEPA exhaust filter to help maintain cleaner breathable air. Designed for compressed air supplies of around 75 CFM at 80 psig, it reliably delivers 0–20 CFM of output air (adjustable via the pressure relief valve), supporting respirator hose runs up to 100 ft (sold separately).
