Description
The Allegro 9990 Air Temperature Controller (Heater/Cooler) w/ Belt & Hansen Fitting is a specialized accessory for supplied-air respirators designed to improve worker comfort in extreme temperature environments by modifying the temperature of incoming compressed air. It uses a vortex-style thermal control to make breathing air up to about 25 °F (14 °C) warmer or cooler than ambient air, helping reduce heat stress in hot conditions or chill in cold conditions.
Built with a lightweight aluminum body, the unit includes a nylon waist belt for easy attachment and positioning, a stainless-steel ¼″ Hansen quick-connect fitting for secure airline hookup, and a leather sheath that protects the operator from temperature extremes at the control body. With no moving parts, it offers reliable performance and simple temperature adjustment even when wearing gloves.
The controller is intended for use with filtered compressed air supplies within the recommended pressure range (typically 55–120 psi) and is compatible with many supplied-air respirator assemblies that accept a Hansen fitting.
