Description
The Launch X431 SmartLink C V2.0 – Remote Diagnostic Device is a specialized vehicle communication interface (VCI) designed to enable remote and local diagnostics across modern automotive systems. It serves as a central bridge between a vehicle’s onboard diagnostic port (DLC/OBD-II) and diagnostic tools—including LAUNCH X-431 series scanners, OEM tools, or third-party diagnostic devices—facilitating advanced workflows in workshop and service environments.
This device supports super remote diagnosis via a cloud-based platform, allowing technicians or remote experts to connect, diagnose, and troubleshoot vehicles from a distance. The SmartLink C system uses a dedicated SmartLink Service Platform, where users can post remote diagnosis requests and connect with qualified technicians (SmartLink B service providers) to conduct diagnostics over the internet.
Key features include support for advanced protocols such as J2534, DoIP, CAN FD, CAN 2.0, RP1210, and D-PDU, which ensures compatibility with a wide range of vehicle models and systems. In addition to remote capabilities, SmartLink C also performs local vehicle diagnostics when paired with LAUNCH intelligent diagnostic software.
The unit connects to the vehicle’s diagnostic port using supplied cables and can interface with local networks (Wi-Fi/Ethernet) to link with the remote platform, enabling flexible diagnostic deployment anywhere internet service is available.
