Description

Castrol Alphasyn PG 460 is a premium synthetic industrial gear lubricant formulated on advanced polyalkylene glycol (PAG) base fluids that are enhanced with antioxidants, rust inhibitors, and Extreme Pressure (EP) additive technology for high thermal stability. This gear oil meets DIN 51517 Part 3 CLP requirements and is suitable for industrial applications where synthetic gear oils are specified.

The PAG base provides a low coefficient of friction that helps reduce operating temperatures and energy consumption, which can extend oil life and improve gear efficiency. Its high viscosity index makes it suitable for a wide range of temperatures, while its excellent thermal and oxidative stability supports reliable long-term performance compared with conventional mineral oils. The formulation also offers high load-carrying capacity and good wear protection, helping reduce maintenance and protect gear components under heavy loads.

Typical uses include worm reduction gearboxes, heavy-duty industrial gear drives, and equipment where synthetic gear oils are preferred for long service life and dependable operation.
