Castrol Magna SW B 220 (previously known under the Magnaglide™ B series) is a high‑performance slideway oil formulated from highly refined mineral base oils and performance additives that provide excellent frictional characteristics and load‑carrying capacity in guideway sliding conditions. The formulation ensures uniform and precise movement of slideways under high loads and low sliding speeds, enhancing machining accuracy and surface finish on both vertical and horizontal machine tool guideways.
This product also meets the DIN 51502 CGLP classification for slideway oils and has good demulsifying and water wash‑off characteristics, helping to maintain clean lubrication in the presence of coolants and resist deposit formation. Its high adhesivity and film strength help protect slideway surfaces, extend relubrication intervals and support longer machine life.
