1,971.67 AED

A synthetic ISO VG 68 air compressor lubricant formulated with high-quality synthetic diesters for use in reciprocating, rotary screw, and rotary vane air compressors — supplied in a 20 L canister and meeting DIN 51506 (VDL) industrial compressor oil standards

Description

Castrol Aircol SN 68 is a synthetic synthetic diester-based compressor oil designed to deliver excellent oxidation stability, reduced carbon formation, and long service life compared with conventional mineral compressor oils. It is suited for compressors operating under high compression ratios and elevated discharge temperatures, making it especially ideal for heavy-duty industrial environments and applications where improved reliability and extended maintenance intervals are required.

The formulation offers superior lubricity and film strength, excellent anti-wear performance, and very good high-temperature resistance, which contributes to reduced wear on moving parts, cleaner compressor operation, and extended valve and oil change intervals. Its higher spontaneous ignition temperature also enhances operational safety.

Key Features

  • Synthetic diester base: Higher oxidation resistance and extended service life compared to mineral oils.

  • ISO VG 68 viscosity: Provides appropriate film strength for effective compressor lubrication.

  • Reduced carbon formation: Helps minimize deposits and maintenance needs.

  • Enhanced thermal stability: Suitable for high discharge temperatures and heavy duty use.

  • Excellent anti-wear protection: Reduces wear on crankcase, piston rings, and valves.

  • Extended oil and valve life: Particularly in reciprocating compressors, with service life much longer than typical mineral oils.

  • DIN 51506 VDL: Meets industrial compressor oil standards for reliability.

Typical Technical Specifications

  • ISO Viscosity Grade: 68

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 40 °C: ~68 mm²/s

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 100 °C: ~7.6 mm²/s

  • Viscosity Index: ~67

  • Density @ 15 °C: ~960 kg/m³

  • Flash Point (OC): > 200 °C

  • Pour Point: ~-40 °C

Typical Applications

  • Reciprocating (piston) air compressors, including single- and multi-stage units.

  • Rotary screw and vane compressors operating under high compression ratios or elevated discharge temperatures.

  • Industrial and workshop compressors where extended oil life, improved wear protection, and reduced carbon formation are desired.

Benefits

  • Longer oil life and reduced maintenance frequency compared with conventional mineral compressor oils.

  • Improved compressor reliability with cleaner operations and less deposit formation.

  • Better valve protection and reduced oil consumption, helping maintain compressed air quality.
