Description
Castrol Aircol SN 100 is a premium synthetic air compressor oil engineered to cope with severe operating conditions experienced in modern compressor systems — including high compression ratios and high discharge temperatures. Its diester-based synthetic formulation provides superior oxidation stability and a lower tendency to form carbon deposits compared with conventional mineral oils. This helps extend oil service life, reduce maintenance intervals, and keep internal compressor components cleaner.
In reciprocating compressors, Aircol SN 100 can offer significantly longer service life — in some cases up to eight times that of mineral oils — resulting in extended valve and oil change intervals and less downtime. The enhanced film strength and anti-wear properties also improve protection for moving parts.
Key Features
-
ISO VG 100 viscosity: Balanced film strength for effective compressor lubrication.
-
Synthetic diester base: Provides excellent oxidation resistance, good lubricity, and longer oil life than many mineral-based oils.
-
Reduced carbon and deposit formation: Helps keep valves and cylinders cleaner and cuts maintenance needs.
-
Superior anti-wear protection: Enhances reliability and equipment longevity under severe service.
-
High temperature performance: Suitable for compressors operating at elevated discharge temperatures.
-
Improved air quality: Reduced oil consumption and cleaner operation mean compressed air quality can be higher.
-
DIN 51506 (VDL) compliance: Meets industrial air compressor oil classification for reliability and performance.
