466.78 AED

A mineral-based refrigeration compressor lubricant with ISO VG 68 viscosity, designed for use in both industrial and smaller refrigeration systems, supplied in a 20 L canister, offering good temperature-viscosity behaviour, chemical stability, and low-temperature flow performance.

Description

Castrol Aircol LPT 68 is a refrigeration compressor oil formulated from highly refined naphthenic base oils to serve as a lubricant, coolant, and sealant in refrigerating compressors. It maintains effective lubrication at high compressor discharge temperatures and good fluidity at low evaporator temperatures, ensuring reliable lubrication of moving parts and effective oil return with the refrigerant.

The oil’s chemical stability helps prevent reactions with refrigerants that can lead to harmful breakdown products, making it suitable for systems using Ammonia (NH₃) and halogenated hydrocarbons, and where good low-temperature performance is required.

Key Features

  • ISO VG 68 viscosity: Balanced film strength ideal for refrigeration compressor lubrication.

  • Mineral naphthenic base: Designed for consistent performance across wide temperature ranges.

  • Good thermal & chemical stability: Helps reduce formation of breakdown products during compression.

  • Low-temperature flow properties: Supports reliable oil return even in cold evaporator conditions.

  • Suitable for various refrigerants: Compatible with Ammonia (NH₃) and halogenated hydrocarbon refrigerants.

  • DIN 51503: Meets industrial standards for refrigeration compressor oils.

Typical Technical Specifications

  • Kinematic viscosity @ 40 °C: ~68–69 mm²/s

  • Kinematic viscosity @ 100 °C: ~6.8–7.3 mm²/s
