Castrol Aircol CM 68 Air compressor oil VDL 20L canister

440.83 AED

A high-quality air compressor lubricant with ISO VG 68 viscosity, formulated from highly refined mineral oil with advanced additives — supplied in a 20 L canister and designed for reciprocating and rotary screw compressors, meeting DIN 51506 (VDL) and ISO 6743-3 standards.

Description

Castrol Aircol CM 68 is part of the Aircol CM range of industrial compressor oils formulated without zinc additives (ashless) to deliver excellent thermal and oxidative stability, good load-carrying capacity, and reliable wear protection for compressor components.

It’s suitable for crankcases and cylinders of reciprocating (piston) compressors and for oil-flooded or oil-injected rotary screw compressors operating under standard industrial conditions.

This product meets the DIN 51506 VDL classification and ISO 6743-3 lubricant standards. Under normal air discharge temperatures (up to ~90 °C), it supports extended drain intervals (up to 4000 hours) — helping reduce maintenance frequency and improve operational uptime. For temperatures above this level, follow manufacturer oil change guidance.

Its ashless formulation and good water separation help minimize emulsions and oil carryover in compressed air systems, contributing to cleaner operation and longer separator filter life.

Key Features

  • ISO VG 68 viscosity: Balanced film strength for lubrication in industrial compressors.

  • Highly refined mineral base with additives: Ensures excellent thermal and oxidative stability and good load-carrying capacity.

  • DIN 51506 (VDL) & ISO 6743-3 compliant: Suitable for a wide range of compressor types.

  • Ashless oil: Minimizes deposit formation and carbon build-up.

  • Good water separation: Condensate separates readily from the oil, reducing the risk of emulsions and separator clogging.

  • Extended service intervals: Designed for long oil life — up to ≈4000 hours under normal conditions.

Typical Technical Specifications

  • ISO Viscosity Grade: 68 (VG 68)

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 40 °C: ~68 mm²/s

  • Kinematic Viscosity @ 100 °C: ~8.6–9.0 mm²/s

  • Viscosity Index: ~100

  • Pour Point: ~-21 °C

  • Flash Point (open cup): ~232–240 °C

  • Water Separation: Good; allows rapid condensate separation.

  • Rust Protection: Passes synthetic seawater rust tests.

Typical Applications

  • Reciprocating (piston) air compressors, including crankcase and cylinder lubrication.

  • Oil-flooded and oil-injected rotary screw compressors under standard operating conditions.

  • Industrial compressed air systems requiring reliable lubrication and reduced maintenance costs.

Benefits

  • Reliable protection for compressor internals under thermal and mechanical stress.

  • Lower maintenance frequency due to extended oil life and low deposit formation.

  • Cleaner compressor operation with less oil carryover and better separator performance.
