The Allegro 2055 Deluxe Pump Smoke Test Kit is a complete respirator fit test accessory designed for qualitative smoke-based testing of air-purifying respirators in industrial hygiene and safety programs. It includes a DC-powered smoke tube pump that generates the required 200 mL of smoke per minute, a set of six irritant smoke tubes with protective caps, and all necessary tubing and instructions for setup and use.
When activated, the irritant smoke (generated from stannic chloride tubes) produces a visible plume with a strong odor that helps identify leaks or poor seals in respirator facepieces during fit tests — an essential step for meeting OSHA qualitative fit test protocols and ensuring respiratory protection effectiveness.
