Description

Castrol Alpha BMB 220 is a premium mineral-based industrial gear lubricant designed to meet the DIN 51517-3 specification and qualify as a CLPF type gear oil in accordance with DIN 51502 requirements. Its formulation includes matched solid lubricant additives (MoS₂) that stay suspended in the oil to enhance boundary lubrication and improve performance under high load and shock-load conditions, making it suitable for heavy-duty industrial drives, enclosed gearboxes, and slow-speed high-stress gear systems.

The presence of the solid lubricant not only boosts load capacity but also contributes to good ageing stability, high thermal loading capacity, and strong corrosion protection, while maintaining compatibility with non-ferrous metals and common seal materials.
